What’s in a Slow Up bar?
Fresh, whole food ingredients, like chickpeas, quinoa, almonds, and spices, that are baked into a better-tasting, better-for-you, food-that-is-food bar. Our bars are free dairy, gluten, soy, isolates, and protein powder. Our bars are not vegan. They contain eggs and honey. Our bars contain nuts (peanuts and almonds).
Why are the bars refrigerated?
Our bars live in the fridge like good food should. Our bars are made with fresh ingredients and are free of preservatives.
How long do they last in the fridge? How long do they last outside of the fridge?
Our bars last for 14 days after they are produced. We find they are usually eaten by then, but you can always check by looking at the best by date on the back of each package. Our bars can be taken on the go for up to 12 hours.
Can I freeze the bars? Can I microwave them?
Yes, but our bars taste best when enjoyed fresh. Freezing the bars might slightly change the taste and texture. You can microwave them, but remember to remove the wrapper first.
How soon will I receive my order?
We bake our bars fresh in Brooklyn every Monday and ship orders every Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. It typically takes 1 business day for our bars to get to you.
How do you keep the bars fresh in transit?
Our bars are kept chilled with biodegradable insulation and gel packs.
